EmmaWatson is a UN Women Goodwill ambassador and a successful actress.

British actress Emma Watson was appointed as the UN Women Goodwill ambassador back in July 2014. The Harry Potter actress and a recent graduate from Brown University will further dedicate her life to empowering young women and will also serve as an advocate for the UN Women’s “HeforShe”, Champaign which will promote gender equality. Just at the age of 24 Watson has been seen involved in the promotion of the girls, and for the equality of the girls both for education and empowerment. And with that purpose, she has visited Bangladesh and Zambia as part of the humanitarian efforts. Apart from being a goodwill ambassador, Watson has also worked for the promotion of organic clothing and has also served as an ambassador for the Camfed International, which was a moment for educating young girls in the rural parts of Africa. 

Being asked to serve as UN Women’s Goodwill Ambassador is truly humbling,” said Emma. She further went on to say that Gender equality is an issue too. She even mentioned in her speech that she was extremely lucky to get such an opportunity to stand for the equal rights of women, and for women empowerment.  I still have so much to learn, but as I progress I hope to bring more of my individual knowledge, experience, and awareness to this role.” She further mentioned in her speech.
